Mario tennis 64 controls?

Does anyone know what the controls are for mario tennis 64?
I keep getting these powerups and rolls and i don' t know how to do them on purpose?
Also, could you tell me the general controls, and some moves please. Thanks

The A button controls overhand shots, while B is for slice shots. The C buttons are not used. To swing, just tap A or B. If you want to swing harder, double-tap the button. To swing harder still, hold the button down to charge your swing. For a lob, tap A, then B.
