The same with the 2 ethernet ports, i mean, why on earth do you want that shit when the 80 gb has also wi-fi, besides, the PS3 is the ONLY console with HDMI in all their SKU´s, so if the constrain token gets implemented down the road then not a single PS3 owner would get screwed.

I belive the original plan (it was still very hazy in the first place) was for your PS3 to act like a media hub or router between your PC, TV, PSP and PS3.

While yeah, we all kind of figured that the Dual HDMI 1080p, 120fps rubbish was well... rubbish. However, you have to look at the sources for all of these comments. Nine times out of ten, they came from Ken Kutaragi.

By the time the PS3 was hitting shelves, even Sony was getting irritated with Kenny, which is why he' s now twiddling his thumbs happily in a broom closet somewhere at Sony HQ, drafting PS7 motherboards onto the floor in red crayon.
