Hey guys, I just got a debit card over the past week from my dad, which ment I could finally get XBL. I directly plugged in the ethernet cable from my modem to my xbox and put in all the network setting stuff I had to put in. But I keep getting a message saying DNS Error and I put in the correct DNS number and everything. I' ve tried power cycling my modem and everything but I keep getting the same message. If any of you guys could help me I would really appreciate it.

What kind of modem is this? You shouldn' t have to put any network settings into your xbox. You should try reseting your xbox network settings to default and power cycling your modem (make sure you wait about 5 minutes before you turn it back on). If you still have problems just call your ISP they' ll help you get it setup correctly.
