Will the PSP hurt developers more than help them?

You know how developers are usually complaining about rising development costs? One of the most appealing things about the Gameboy Advance market has always been that it' s low risk. Pretty easy money for developers which is why Squaresoft wanted onboard that gravy train.. But with the PSP having specs that approaches that of the Playstation 2, it doesn' t seem as if Sony' s portable will be such a low risk venture for developers.. The PSP' s future is still unknown, the thing could take off, and at the same time it could bomb. Simple ports are no big deal since not alot of resources are put into them making them relatively low risk, but original games created for the PSP that don' t sell could likely have a similar negative impact on developers as a console game not selling. We shall see how things play out I guess.
