My pick is Half Life 2. Half Life was better than the other DOOM' s so Im betting on HL2. How about you?

I think the Doom3 engine will be more advanced than the Half-Life2 engine, while the Half-Life storyline will outshine Doom' s by a far cry (just like old times).

However, i really must commend Valve' s artists... without demonstrating any technical or graphics-card features, they have managed to make Half-Life 2 look extremely photo-realistic, even more so than Doom3 (the right textures and the right lights put at just the right places at just the right values: kinda like what the Polyphony Digital artists have achieved with GT3 and GT4' s photorealistic graphics).

On the whole i prefer Half-Life 2.

i say that HALO 2 will be better then those games put together.But ill take Half-Life 2 of Doom3.

lol, Of course Halo 2 will be better, thats why I didn' t list it. But, HL2 seems to be delayed with no sign of release, DOOM3 on the other hand, hasn' t released much info. Neither of which is good.

how come u didnt mention FAR CRY.

Because the demo is pretty rank.

Neither game has released anything except tech demo' s and staged action sequences so I can' t really say any of them will be good yet but on the surface at least HL2 will have a story to follow.

from what i' ve heard and read doom has been delayed again after the halflife video came out. i got the impression that they wanted to add more story to try to compete with hl2.

i saw the first test video a long time ago when a codemasters guy came to our uni to give a lecture. that was at least 3 years ago. but it has got a bit better since then.

halo is fun but not as good as the original half life.

Sorry, but now I must kill you for saying Halo isn' t the greatest. Game. EVER. But anyway, they (Valve, Bungie, and ID) at least seem to want to make great games this time around. With so many great FPS games coming out, this ought to weed out the bad ones. (hopefully) And I didn' t mention Far Cry becouse it should be good, but I seriously doubt it will stand up to Halo 2, Half Life 2, or Doom 3.

I say Doom-Life 5 (think about it....)
