So what do you guys do for a living! Tell us what pathetic loosers you all are :)

If you kept tabs on when i am absent from the forum then you' d quickly figure out what i do.

My main job is video editing, DVD authoring and camera operator (when the need arises). I enjoy doing this very much and most people don' t appreciate (or know) of the depth involved in DVD authoring. Most n00bs just press " copy" on their DVD Ripper and call it a day or have their pirated program do it for them automatically when creating new discs. They never get in to stories, scripting, menu authoring, DVD layer break points and all that fun stuff! I guess that' s why they need me... or at least partially.

I also have a part-time gig at a movie theater as projectionist. I do this just for fun as it only pays $10 an hour. I love working with film and I do most of their film assembly and disassembly as well as project a couple of nights a week. I am also a projection booth technician and install and tune booth equipment like projectors and sound systems (includes EQing, et al) as well as repairs and maintenance for the complex. Since film will be replaced completely with digital projection in a few years, I want to handle film as much as I can while I can. After that I' ll only be able to play with film in my friend' s screening room at his house.

I am a money starved Uni student. Studying Psychology.

Im a systems administrator at a school, i have 400 Pc' s and 10 server, in my direct control, the network consists of 4 times that, but there are other adminstrators located at other sites in the country.

I am a software engineer, work for Intel.

I' m a doctor. Started practising a couple of years ago now. Currently working in the Emergency Department of a nearby hospital. Yesterday I saw a lady complaining of mild abdominal pain - ended up diagnosing her with a 2ft large benign tumour on her uterus! Can' t believe she never spotted it until now. I suspect she' ll feel a bit lighter once they whip it out!

Thats normally where i would come in. I used to work in the Pathology Department of the Laboratory. Dealing with histology (autopsies, biopsies)and cytology.
Now i am unemployed.

Have recently moved into the realm of Computer forensics, which is quite scary at times but also very rewarding when you are able to nail a dirty scum sucking pedo to the wall for the stuff that they have, but also help with fraud enquiries and scams as well.

I work at a college for the electronic media department, helping students with video and audio editing in the multimedia lab, and periodically working live productions that need to be video taped, or have projection set up, or have PA systems. I also do freelance animation work for TV and video. And I' m working on getting my second degree; essentially my thesis project involves animated nonfiction/documentary. Right now I' m trying to decide if I' m going to go to graduate school and work towards becoming a professor, teaching animation.

I help run a daycare center. In between I work on my ongoing film project. I also make extra money on the side with some persuasive talking. People owe me money so now I' m collecting.

Well, I am a Mass Communication graduate, journalism and photography being my main focus. I am also a theatre arts graduate and have had a hand in most aspects of a theatre production, mostly acting though.

As where I currently work... I work for Gamestop

Hard to say, he had the room built along with his house, but all of the equipment and such he supplied and installed himself. There is definitely over $100,000 worth of stuff in there easily.

I work at a Pepsi production plant to pay the bills. In the meantime I' m about halfway done with my electrician journeyman' s license requirements, I should have a real job sometime next year. If I wasn' t so damn lazy/ drunk during my Navy years I' d already have that done.

I' m also a part-time web pimp. Yes, literally.

A friend just recommended me to his boss, so im implying for a new one as an Exchange consultant, which should give me about 2000$ more a month, plus a free car which in turn gives me 1000 more in gas savings

I am afraid of the people. I am a very shy person whenever we have visitors in my house I locked myself in my room because I feel shy to say hello to them or even talk to them, so yeah.

I thought I was like that once. Then I realized that I couldn' t stand to be around 70% of the people I met for more than 5 min.

How does it pay? What are your bennies like?

It pays well. The place that I work at is very hard to get into, because we keep our own tips (as opposed to casinos where they pool all the dealers tips together and get a paycheck after two weeks). Basically, I bring home about $250 to $300 a day. Of course it could be more or less, but that' s about my average, I' d say.

The benefits? Standard issue sh*t. Health coverage through Aetna. Basic life and disability.

I' d say the best things about my job are:

1. It' s good money. Paid every day.
2. It' s easy work.
3. I NEVER work over 8 hours.
4. Hot chicks! Both working with, and playing with.

Bad things:

1. I work every weekend, and every holiday. (I work days, though, so it' s not THAT BAD.
2. Smoke filled environment.
3. Assholes.

I think the good outweighs the bad, personally, hence the 8 years!

I could totally deal with working holidays. I don' t get on particularly well with my family, so an excuse to take off, and get paid metric assloads of money sounds like a deal to me. The weekends would get to me though. I' ve got to have my saturdays to myself.
