Oh shit, now that' s a tough one. If I had never read the books I would easily pick Batman but the Chief is so awsome in the Halo trilogy. It would take the chief less then five seconds rip out Batmans spine but I think Batman wins out of sheer coolness. So i say Batman wins.

Venom. Deadpool has a cool name, and I liked his mini series back in the 90s, but Venom kicks ass. I' ll take Carnage over both of them though.

Freezing to death cuz after some point youre so numb you don' t feel anything anymore, but dying from heat, now that would be torture.

Nero Ultra Edition 6.6 (7 sucks, too many bugs too be fixed) or Roxio Media Studio 8? Consider them for the other features as well, not just burning audio CDs.

Silent Hill or Resident Evil (and as a side point, if you like silent hill, watch the preview for the movie, i' ll post it in a second topic. It looks amazing, I can' t believe how exact to the game it looks).
