I' ve seen that guy playing there before. Chester isn' t far from here and is really good for things like Christmas shopping. I don' t remember being wowed at the time though, but in the video here when it gets to around 2:30 and he taps the pedal to kick in the distortion, you can' t help but be in awe.

Is it just me, I don' t know them too well to be honest, or is this new material a bit more polished and " modern" /accessible? It' s still too extreme I suppose for something like MTV which could explain why they don' t play it.

Certainly very polished production, which I' ve always felt Thrakh' s stuff was, but then I don' t have the first album. The fact they produce it all themselves should win them more accolades than anything else though.

I hate the crap production most black metal bands use as an excuse for " atmosphere" . The only thing I really like with the biscuit tin sound is Emperor' s early stuff, but I still think that was due more to budget restrictions than a determined effort. Any band these days with bad production has no excuse.
