Artificial Soldier, the new Front Line Assembly CD. w00t

I need to check out FLA again. I havn' t listened to them since Hard Wired, although I thought everything sounded the same really, like VAC and Wumpscutt too. Still, FLA are the original at that kind of style, maybe should check out the new one! My other fav. industrial guys are doing more techno sounding stuff - Combichrist I mentioned, but the last Laibach album was incredible!!

Currently listening to disc 1 of the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack (just got it today). Listened to the first 10 tracks so far and the music has been a big pile of stink so far.. So incredibly boring. I' m hoping it improves ALOT later on..

You will find 2 maybe 3 good tracks on the Final Fantasy 7 OST. One of them is the much-ballyhooed final boss song which I' m sure you' ve probably heard at some point in the last 10 years or so.

Yo speaking of Final Fantasy, I just got my copy of FFXll OST, and so far most of the theme is similar to FFlX, so far I don' t have any favorite tracks yet, but I' ll keep listening, I' m sure I can find a decent track. FF7 has some great tracks, mine is all of the charactors theme, and Battle theme, and ending credit, just most of the backround music that we all experience while playing the game. The only way to enjoy the OST is to play the game, so you will get use to the theme and the track that fit' s the theme itself.

If there' s Nothing appealing about the composition of a song, I don' t see how listening to it while playing the game will change anything... It certainly won' t make the song any more catchier or exciting to listen to.. That applies to all games as I' ve played many games that were equally as boring to listen to while playing as they were when listening to their respective OSTs. Good game music is enjoyable whether playing the game or not

Update: Finally found some themes that I liked.
1. The victory fanfare!
2. Aerith' s theme (Really liked the version used in the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie)
3. One Winged Angel

If you want something different from FLA check out Civilization, that is my favorite CD by far, Artificial Soldier is more of the old FLA style. Tactical Neural Implant is my second favorite of theirs. Also check out Conjure One and Delerium which are awesome side projects of the FLA guys with very different sounds.

Now I' m listening to Retribution, also by FLA

I wasn' t keen on Delerium, although I liked Noise Unit. I' ll check out Retribution.

Got the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children soundtrack today, Disc 2 is just fabulous!
Disc 1 is nice, though more slower paced.

But overall this soundtrack absolutely DESTROYS the Final Fantasy VII OST I mentioned in a previous post..
