The Matrix Online - Apr 07, 2004 02:49
Well, I bought my copy of Revolutions today and watched some of the special features. There was an extra that described the up and coming Matrix Online. I have mixed feeling about this game. Here' s some quick things on it.

+ The game is supposed to have the biggest map ever created with the beiggest server ever to allow you to not only travel all over the immense city but also go in every building, floor, and room in the game.

+ No load tiimes no matter where you go.

+ Thousand and thousands of people on the server.

+ the story never ends and will be progressed monthly.

+ Supposedly lag free.

+ Deep figthing system featuring nearly all the moves and more than what was shown in the movies.

- Graphics are a bit... meh.

- Fighting though said to be deep and intense looks like it has poor animation and such.

- From what was shown it doesn' t look much better than the Matrix game that came out last year. The description is what sounded good.

- Didn' t look exciting.

One thing I noticed is it has the Ubisoft logo stamped on it. Hopefully Ubi will put some effort into making the game half decent.

Well with 1,000' s of people on the server you can' t expect the graphics, animation, etc. to be amazingly good. As long as it' s better than Enter The Matrix it should be all right... I just hope it turns out to be a lot better. I wonder if it will ever come to console' s...? I doubt it will but it' d be nice.

Would be pretty cool if they do a good job of it.
I wonder if it would be like
Would you be in the real world and you could enter the matrix and be whoever you want and go back and forth?

It' s quite the task to make a game lag free. They are using a brand new type of server system though. Everything from software to hardware has been built from scratch for this game.

Btw, in response to RavenShadow, you' ll just be stuck in the matrix. You can' t go to the " real world" .
