Sports games not quite dead

Good ' Ol Ubisoft. Being backed into a corner by the mighty EA they' ve just struck back announcing they plan to release a multitude of sports games on Next Gen consoles. So they probably won' t be licensed and feature players who look like the real thing with similar names though fingers crossed it' ll be a healthy dose of competition. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=7064

Good to see other development houses fighting EA' s aggressiveness. Viva la UbiSoft!!!

I think right about now ubisoft is willing to do anything at all that would upset EA' s plans at all. EA may have made an enemy they' ll regret later.

We' ll have to see what Take-Two decides about football games, I hope they continue pushing forward with their football releases instead of scaling back.

Yoshimitsu was questioning a french developer about making American sports games above my comment. So in sort of a responce I mentioned that. Ubisoft is well known for their damn good war games, however you often hear ppl joking that the french arnt exactly the war type of ppl ya know. Basically just saying I have confidence in them making good sports titles.
