That’s the 1st boss and Joseph Jackson who did Kikizo' s review for Rush is at only 1 life left at the very first boss! I can vouch for it' s hardness, I managed to survive the first level before level 2 kicked my ass. The thing is, this makes it better than the Advance games as you get shock a challenge.

Oh, and I still can' t get the last emerald after a few weeks.

I don' t think Kikizo does their own DS frame grabs, so that' s not Terry Bogard playing. It' s some guy who works at Sega.

I never played Sonic rush but I know its not harder then any Contra game.

Fighting Sonic(as Blaze) was a bitch!! It was just his last life... And I STILL don' t see the point in it(the last bit).

The button mashing end bit seemed to go on an age as Sonic vs Blaze but the other way around it seemed quite short.

The stage design in this game is downright horrible! Sometimes I get smashed by a ball chasing me (and lose a life even though I have rings... WTF???) and sometimes I don' t, and I don' t do anything different. This is a flaw in the game design. The music in the Carnival level is atrocious! The music in the first few stages seemed pretty good but then it all started to get repetitive as all of the music is pretty much the same. The main problem is that the music loops after about 8 seconds. This game is more Tony Hawk than Sonic, with all of the tricks and lamness like that. Tricks? Geesh.

I am a guy who finds Super Monkey Ball to be on the easy side, and this game is too much for me, even on easy. I don' t like it. Sega failed. The programmers at DIMPS should have been aborted before they were born.

Joe, the bits you speak of are avoided simply by ' rushing' down the hill. Just running is certain doom as you' ll never build up the speed to avoid said balls of death but rush down the hill and you' ll survive without being turned into a pankake.

Just another example of Rushes ' hard-ness' . But build up your rush bar and dash often, that is the key to being king.

An alternative method would be to build up your running speed before reaching those points. That way, when you reach those points and are running at optimum speed you' ll be able to remain ahead of the ballz of doom..

My first time through as Sonic was a pain in the neck sometimes. It took lots of trial n' error but after completing the game the first time with Sonic, I had a MUCH easier time with Blaze the Cat.

That' s the problem, the " rush meter" should be an addition to the game, not a requirement. I' m on Zone 6 or something now. I like how the music in the Pyramid stage constantly says " Tackle beat tackle beat beat tackle my face!"

It is called Sonic Rush for a reason and once you master it you can blast through the stages tricking at all the best points before blasting through the next bit. Killing bad guys while rushing not also looks really cool but fills your bar more I think.

... Anyone get to Sonic' s final boss (before you get the emeralds) and how hard did you think he was? Personally he smushed my ass so many times before I finally clocked him I' d lost count.

Actually I think the game should be called " Tony Hawk featuring Sonic" .

I haven' t played the game for a few days. It' s not very addicting.

I couldn' t keep off it till I got stuck on the last emerald. I like it, Joe doesn' t, I suggest everyone try it though. Don' t expect a ' genesis' Sonic game because it blatently isn' t but try and enjoy it for what it is; the game the advance series wishes it was.

So, after reading your posts and still being a bit confused, how many of you recommend buying Sonic DS?
