Looks pretty dandy to me. I been wondering what the dual display thing woudl look like. and for only $150, while PSP is $300..PSP better come packed with features. That touch screen makes the DS so damn hi-tech LoL

I admit, I was skeptical about 2 screens. How could they pull that off? Well, seems they have. It looks capable of N64 capability, so if they deliver Goldeneye, the Zeldas, Mario (64 remake) and cart and tennis, this should be awsome. Now, I can' t wait to see what games Sony is bringing at or near launch.

Wow, I was quite impressed also. I had no interest in the ds mostly because I knew nothing about it until I watched the E3 conference. Very nice features, and the metroid game running on it looked great :) Can' t wait to hear more on this puppy.

The voice recognition feature of the DS is a little interesting I must say.

The Nintendo DS looks to have Nintendo 64 capabilities. All the demos that showcased its 3D capabilities looked like N64 games, from the port of Super Mario 64 to DS Metroid Prime: Hunters to DS Sonic Tech Demo.

The PSP is far superior in terms of visual horsepower.

I for one am not impressed with the DS. Its laden with too many gimmicks, that if not properly utilized, will be nothing more than novel gimmicks. In addition, the recycled Nintendo lineup of 15 years ago is not appealing to me anymore. I dont want gimmicks and hokey connect-to-your-GC features. I want solid gaming on the go with slick visulas. PSP looks to be more my style. Sorry (again) Nintendo..

With the PSP stacked and fully loaded, the DS better come at it with better than N64 graphics since the PSP supposedly does somewhere between Dreamcast and PS2 graphics.

Unconfirmed but I remember reading somewhere that the PSP could do 33 million polygons. I suppose that' s just flatshaded polygons but still that' s a whole lot more than what the N64 and Dreamcast can do combined, and that' s half of the 66 million flatshaded polygons the PS2 can do.

I don' t know where you got those numbers, but there' s no confirmed pricing for either the DS or PSP right now. Still, I would imagine those prices are about right.

Remember though, I' m pretty sure that' s not the official final hardware for the DS. There might still be some minor changes.

the DS I thought looked kind of wierd. It just looked like one of those old game and watch things.

The DS looks pretty good, I' m happy as hell it has more than two action buttons, but the specs of the thing need to be beefed up a little bit I think. Imagine what a Madden game will look like on the PSP compared to the DS. The differences will be quite noticeable if the DS keeps these current specs.

The DS does sound like a cool idea. I' ve read articles stating that its features work well. But, I still am not at all interested in it. I think it' s not only ugly but gimmicky.

I' ve never bought a handheld system before, but the PSP is looking like it will be my first. It has a huge heads-up IMO, even tho nintendo knows how to do handhelds. I think they are just getting carried away

Yeah, after seeing the stuff at E3, why the hell are they releasing the DS? It all seems like a gimmick. " 2 screens is the future of handheld gaming!" . Uh-huh, did you guys get hold of some of Mario' s magic mushrooms? Even though not that many games have been announced for the PSP, the GT demo they showed blew every gimmick, I mean game, that Nintendo showed out of the water.

Please Nintendo, you ARE our videogame history, please dont go out remembered as the company of gaming gimmicks. And believe me, you are going to go out if you keep this up. (Connectivity!! WTF were they thinking, oh wait......$$$)
