Some basic info and thoughts from Hirai.

Quick Time Saver:
-2million PS3 by the end of the calender year (700,000per major territory)
-No launch title announcements til about a month before release
-Yet to be put in production but should be soon.
-Launch titles considered Day and Date of console release+one week. As opposed to MS 90 day window.
-Playstation Network Platform expected on day one. Expect plenty of other Sony entetainment products for D/L + other other studios. However, expect this to take time.
-D/L PSone games expected this year around PS3 launch
-No adjustments on the horizen for PSP (Price or Design)

Anyhow I thought the origional plan was to have 2 million at launch and addition 2 million by years end and another 2 million by march? Now it says 2 million within the calender year. Or did I read wrong at some point in this interview or past ones?

Also is 3 months prior to release normal for not having a product in production? Is that more then enough of pushign it a little?

You' re right,i thought they was gonna have 4 million consoles out this year.
