Any new news on the development of Shenmue 3? Is it going to happen? Any ideas which new generation system it will be ported to?

Sorry, I am still confused. I am familiar with the Metal Gear Solid games, but I don' t know what " card-battle" means. Is Shenmue 3 going to be an actual video game -- an extension of the story from the previous installments? Shenmue 1 & 2 were two of my favorite games and I would love to play a 3rd installment one day.

Ha Ha, these guys are just messing with you. S3 isnt going to be a card battle game, hell we dont know if there is going to be a Shenmue 3 Game yet! it isnt confirmed, devolpers side step about it when asked questions about it. It has a Huge Fan base, it also from a business persepctive, is a Finaical Black Hole.
S1 was one of the most expensive games ever made, and didnt make the money back through sales.
Untill Sega get super Rich, you guys will have to keep buying Shadow the Hedgehog untill they can afford to admit S3 is in Devolpment.

Shenmue 3 is actually going to be a racing game, a sequel to Hang-On. Here is an EXCLUSIVE pic from the ending of the game!!!!!!!!

And I don' t see Shenmue 3 coming out, because the series sucks, no one bought the games, and it makes no sense to make a sequel.
