Sega of America to bring over Shining Tears for PS2 Action role-playing entry in the classic RPG series will ship in Spring 2005. Sega of America announced today that Shining Tears, an action role-playing title that will be shown this week at the Tokyo Game Show, is coming to the US. The spiritual successor to the Shining In The Darkness and Shining Force series that appeared on the Genesis and Sega Saturn systems, Shining Tears is scheduled to ship in spring 2005. Offering upwards of 50 hours of gameplay, according to Sega, and eight different endings, Shining Tears is an action role-playing game with real-time battles and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. The main character is a young man who has lost his memory and finds himself living in a city under siege, caught in the midst of a war he does not understand. The game' s storyline finds the boy and his friends exploring the world and discovering the grim reality of the war-torn world he inhabits. Shining Tears has received a " T" for Teen rating and will retail for $39.99. By Chris Kohler -- GameSpot

Ahh, Shining Tears is looking quite interesting with it' s traditional looking 2D viewpoint. Whats the other PS2 confirmed Shinign Force game though? I keep getting confused between the two. Two Shining Force games is great, I just hope they get a UK release sometime soon after the US release. Of course news of a US release does bode well for the UK.
