I checked the Latest video at gametrailers
and my impression is that the graphics are below my expectations for a next-gen racing game.
Since I' m not a huge fan of the series, I doubt I' ll buy it if it doesn' t have breathtaking graphics.

I think it looks pretty good... the track deformation system is pretty intense as well if you' ve seen the wireframe renders. I' ll definitely be renting it to check it out.

first time I saw footage of it, I was reminded of those old N64 ultra vibrant racing games like Beetle Adventure Racing and Diddy Kong Racing.

My laptop is bitchy today so I cant view that footage, has it changed much?

I think it is looking stylistically similar to how it has all along... that particular trailer though looks a bit washed out for some reason, like the contrast is too low or something. But the intensity of the gameplay looks good.

Fast-as-fuck racing at 60fps with no slowdown. It' s an arcade game, not a sim.

Yeah, if you find the continuation of that video somewhere, he shows the wireframe view of the surface deformations that the cars create.
