Yes Sammy the videogame slash pachinko maker. TOKYO, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Japan' s Sammy Corp (6426.T: Quote, Profile, Research) paid 45 billion yen ($418 million) to acquire a 22.4 percent stake in video game maker Sega (7964.T: Quote, Profile, Research) from CSK (9737.T: Quote, Profile, Research) on Monday to strengthen its development of slot and pinball-type game machines. Sega Corp shares closed at 1,025 yen on Monday and Sammy paid 13 percent more that -- 1,158 yen per share -- for 39.1 million shares in Sega. Sammy, Japan' s largest maker of pachinko pinball-style machines, said it may acquire more shares in Sega Corp, without specifying where from. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=3953018 But lets not forget.... http://ps2.ign.com/articles/386/386061p1.aspx Sega and Sammy was supposed to merge 2 months ago.

Sega was actually making some money as of late. I personally don' t like the news at all. I would have MUCH MUCH MUCH preferred a Sega and Namco marriage!

Yeah, that would be great. I know sega has been doing well but it is a tough time in the industry at the moment.

This is a bad thing. It' s also definitely happenening, in fact already happened. On Feb 17 2004 there will be a shareholders meeting, the chances are we won' t like the results. It will be a dark day on February 17. Which is also my birthday and the birthday of Kikizo. Double thanks for nothing Sammy, you crappy logo-ed Pachinko sluts.

They are going to destroy Sega! They want them to freakin switch completely to arcades. Nobody outside of Japan really puts a major amount of time in arcades anymore
