Adventure games have branching dialogue as well, whats your point? Again when did I say this game was only on RPG? It has a huge FPS element if you played it as so. Does this mean I classify it as an FPS? No. It means I think it has a huge FPS element if you chose to play it as such.

Can you complete Oblivion without going through anything that resembles quests or following a story? Without level ups? Without playing a certain role while playing the game?

You do the same thing in Dead Rising and many other games of various genres. And what game does not have you playing a role?

The difference is that RPG games have interactive dialogs.That' s a pretty big difference since in FPS games dialogs are to present the story.

You bothered because you wanted in on a debate. I dont see the problem with that. No one is gonna have exactly the same veiws on things. Isnt that one of the key reasons of forums. They being virtual soap boxes for anyone who has a voice or opinion?

Either way this debate was rather clean compared to how others tend to go. Gangsta has his view I have mine Ginj has his. Nothing wrong with any of them. Have we gotten to a point in this forum where users cant discuss somthing without it being labled as a flame war or somthing?

No, Mass. Now I know why I bothered. I felt you were wrong saying that Oblivion could be called an FPS so I entered the debate hoping that I would eventually see you post:
