I noticed it' s up and running so now you can buy PS1 games for your PSP without the need for a PS3. I don' t know how long it' s been up though. Amongst other things there' s a Metal Gear Portable Ops demo available in case you haven' t decided whether to buy it or not. Playstation Store

They haven' t said anything about it, but it would be nice. Would the 40 gig PS3' s be able to run PS2 games if they' re downloaded though? I though you needed either hardware or software emulation to do that? If its not possible, then I doubt Sony would try and offer PS2 downloadable games, cause a lot of the surge in sales for PS3 is the 40 gig being released, so I don' t think they' ll shoot themselves in the foot by offering a feature to the fans that bought the 60 or 80, just to get massacred by those who bough the 40 gig.
