 I finally found the playstation 9 commercial!! It was first shown right before the playstation 2 was introduced to the U.S and was never shown again. If you think I' m lying just go to this link below... http://www.defunctgames.com/media047.htm Copy and paste. It was talking about that it was going to come out by the year 2078 and if anything everyone including me will be very old.  &

Great find! Pretty cool. Are you 100% sure this was actually an official Sony ad that was actually shown on TV though? Or just an elaborate but impressive pretender? Edit: Just found out it is genuine, though I never saw the ad obviously. Pretty darn cool. Is this the first time it has made its way online?

No Im sure it is 100 % from Sony because they showed it on a TV ad before but it appeared just once. I was just a kid when I saw it so I couldn' t remember much more about it. I promise to the Holy Bible itself that it is 100 % Real.  Also it might be difficult but you can search in any search engine and you might be able to see others also were talking about the commercial.

Yep, like I said, I realised it' s a genuine ad after some brief searching... So it' s the first time you saw it online though right? I think it' ll be worth us running a story in the morning if so...  PS3 will be shit! PS9... I want one. NOW!

I believe I saw this a long time ago. Can' t remember when or where, but I do believe it was an ad shown on Canada TV. Awesome!

Ya I saw that Ad before. The message being that sony is gonna be the future of gaming and the future begins now with PS2...obviously depending on your own preference. It was also the marketing against Dreamcast with the " It' s thinking" slogan.
I don' t think Sony is a future prediction company, but it would be cool to see all that happen...and truly hope its in my life-time.

Pretty cool ad, makes things look pretty intense haha I' ve already mentioned to some of my friends that I will probably be like 80 - 90 years old surrounded by all my scientific textbooks and then die of a heart attack because I just plugged in my new PS10 (PS X) and everything is so intense I couldn' t handle it haha

I saw it a few times on TV in the past. It' s definitely legit. I remember back then forum goers were saying how dumb the commercial was and how it made little sense to them.
Jokes were created about how Sony was getting an early start on their PS9 promos so when the console actually launched in 40 or so years everyone would know about it.

But it is kind of wierd how they would just launch the commercial about the playstation 9 like that. How do they know they will have holographic technology by then and if it does make it to a PS9, how much room could it take up?

Well its not an actual prediction, it' s just them saying " the future starts now" with PS2. They arnt serious about the PS9, it was just a commercial for the PS2. Altho the concept does soudn interesting but of course that wonnt come along til well into the future. And I remember where I saw this commercial exactly, it was at a theatre oddly enough I dont remember what move tho.

actually - till 2080 so I can get the PS9, and then spend 2 years playing! Then I can die happy (if I finish Shenmue 3 by then too! It better get released!)
