Sonic - Sonic 1 (Sonic CD was ass)
Mario - Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros 2 (US version)
Wipeout - None, they all suck
F-Zero - F-Zero GX
Street Fighter - Street Fighter Alpha 2 or X-Men vs Street Fighter
Mega Man - Mega Man 2 (the rest suck)
Out Run - Out Run 2006 Coast
2 Coast (Xbox version)

Castlevania - Symphony of the Night, Dracula X (PC Engine), Super Castlevania 4
Super Mario Kart - The DS version, whatever that one' s called.
Zelda - SNES version, the rest are complete ass.
Doom - None, they all suck
Silent Hill - Silent Hill 2 - Restless Dreams (Xbox)
Metal Gear Solid - first one, the rest can drink my diarrhea.
Resident Evil - Resident Evil 4, I cannot stand the others with the " tank" controls.
Streets of Rage - Streets of Rage 2
Mortal Kombat - They all suck
Virtua Fighter - Either 1 or 2 because of the music. The later games had lacking music.
Super Monkey Ball - Super Monkey Ball (Gamecube)
Tekken - Tekken 5
R-Type - 1st one, but only on the Sega Master System or TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine.
Ridge Racer - Rage Racer and Ridge Racer 6
Burnout - Tie: Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge (on Xbox with 5.1 sound)
Shenmue - This is tough, but I think I' ve gotta go with part 1.
Golden Axe - The Revenge of Death Adder (arcade only)
Shinobi - Shadow Dancer (Genesis) or the original Shinobi arcade
Panzer Dragoon - Zwei. Great game and it even supported true 16:9.
Wonder Boy - Tough one. I like Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon' s Trap.
Thunder Force - Thunder Force 3
Space Harrier - Original arcade
After Burner - Arcade... with the extra melody! Saw Climax but it cost over $3 per play.
