Nokia N-Cage: Going For Too Much?

For those who don' t know, the N-Cage is Nokia' s first handheld " gaming" system. Yet not only is it a gaming system, it' s also a phone, mp3 player, supports email and can check out websites (plus some other features I think I' m forgetting). That' s all sound nice and dandy, but isn' t that a little much? The system is designed and built to look like a portable system, so shouldn' t they sell it as such? After all, that' s how the market is going to view it - as a contender to the Game Boy. And at the moment, it sounds really cool to me, but I can easily see how other consumers may just find it gimmicky. What' s your thoughts? (here' s Nokia' s website for the N-Cage) http://www.n-gage.com/n-gage/home.aspx

I was a bit skeptical about this at first, then when I found out Sega was supporting it, all my fears went away. I bought a Nokia 7650 recently, and have been having so much fun loading java games onto it and playing about, that I can see alot more happening with the N-Cage. The only real problem I can see is this is still a mobile phone, and for a mobile is too big. I find my 7650 too big, and this is even bigger. When I go clubbing, I need something like a 7210 or 8310. My current contract expires when the N-Cage is released. being a gamer I probably will be buying one, but my need for a small phone icreases everyday!

Well as somebody said somewhere..." you can either have a GBA that looks like a mobile phone or a mobile phone that looks like a GBA!" hey it made sense somewhere. This technology is a good start but still has a long way to go.

Hey, Nokia has said it' ll definitely be under $579 so that' s good for a handheld right? Yeah, that' s what i thought. I' m going to be saying no to this handheld for now.
