From the UK OXM, it seems that Sega will make a special edition of Super Monkey Ball for Xbox and PS2 called Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. The levels will be taken from the ones of the previous SMB for Gamecube. The news for now it' s only a rumor. Stay tuned.

Not surprising since they' ve already announced Super Monkey Ball 3.. I guess if they' re planning to make it a multiplatform release they might as well release an earlier version on the PS2 and Xbox beforehand.

I think the same. SMB deluxe will be used to make Xbox and PS2 know the series of SMB, while SMB3 will be a multiplatform game.

Both me and my fiancee really enjoy the SMB series... This just means that it can now be on my XBOX, instead of only on her GC. Great news...hope it' s not just a rumor...

Super Monkey Ball 1 is the best game so far of this generation. I can' t wait for 3. If the Deluxe pack adds anything cool, I' ll probably get that as well... for the Xbox.

SMB is a great game, but it' s not the best in this generation of consoles. Remebere there are many other games better than SMB like Shenmue (the best game in this generation) JSRf, PDO etc. in my opinion. Hoping to see SMB on Xbox.

toxicavenger, There are minigames in addition to the regular games that make MB very fun. ...but at least now ill be able to rent monkey balls instead of purchase them. Either way (rent or buy), my suggestion to you is that you practice " safe" Monkey Balls play. LOL!!! Sorry, it was just too good to pass up...

Super Monkey Ballz is in a class of its own, I couldn' t compare it to Panzer Dragoon Orta, Shenmue or anything else as they' re all different :)

I thought that Super Monkeyball was the sequel to Shenmue, which was the sequel to Panzer Dragoon, which takes place in the world of After Burner. They' re all the same.

Here' s the official announcement... Super Monkey Ball Deluxe rolls onto the PS2 and Xbox The silly simians go multiplatform in a budget-priced deluxe pack next year. Sega of America announced today that its sleeper Super Monkey Ball series, originally released on the Nintendo GameCube, will be making its way to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox early next year. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe will feature all the different modes, stages, and options from the two GameCube titles, as well as an array of exclusive content, all for the low price of $29.99. Specifically, Deluxe will feature 300 stages--114 from the original game, 140 from the sequel, and 46 brand-new boards--in which the player must roll a monkey, who' s inside a giant hamster ball, around a precarious series of platforms while collecting bananas and reaching his goal without falling off any platforms. Additionally, the fan-favorite party modes, such as Monkey Fight and Monkey Target, will all be packed into Deluxe--which features 12 party modes in all. Sega has not announced any new Super Monkey Ball titles for the GameCube at this time, but the continuation of the series is a good sign that there will be more ballin' to come. What am I missing? Super Monkey Ball looks as appealing as forcing myself to watch MTV for a week straight (i.e, tourture). I honetly can' t see how steering around a Monkey in a Ball can be considered fun and have little desire to hand over money to see if I' m wrong.

Super duper Monkey Ballz takes some of the best elements of Marble Madness, tosses in some nice graphics, music, and addicting mini-games among others!

It' s usually the most simplistic games you find yourself addicted too. Frequency and Amplitude are good examples of this. Trust me...the game is fun as hell and even better with friends. Once you get to the hardest levels it' s a competition to see who can master them when my friends and I play Monkey Ball.

Renting is a good idea actually. I' ll take a scan round e-bay for it cheap too. What about Paul? he' s unsure of Super Monkey Ball.
