That' s cool. You did a good job designing the characters. I find it hard to create my own characters so I usually just draw someone elses in my own style. Do you ever sell your stuff? I use to do my own stuff and I made some pretty good money.

Haven' t sold anything yet but I just got a $200 scholarship from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdle. They now have me in the running for an $8000 scholarship. They are really impressed with my work apparently.

Cool, good luck getting the $8,000 scholarship, hope it works out for you. When I was in art class (in high school) I should have tried to get some scholarships too but I didn' t show any of my stuff to anyone. I ened up getting a $100 cheque from the high school art class for being " the best" in the class though. $100 dollars is almost useless (espeacially concidering it' s Canadian) so I ended up putting it towards buying an X Box.

That picture is awesome.
I' ve been trying to draw lately but it hasn' t been going so well.
I have so many ideas in my head but I don' t (yet maybe ) have the skill to get it on paper.

Thanks man. Taking stuff from your head and putting it on paper is always hard. Most of my characters never turn out how I imagine them in my head. I wouldn' t mind seeing some of your stuff.

I don' t have any stuff.
Nothing that could stand up near your stuff.
I' ve just started really and have been only working on anime stuff.
I' ve been real busy with school work so I haven' t been able to put as much time into is as I would like/

I' m not all that great. I' ve seen some amazing stuff at places like Conceptart.org which is just crazy. I just think I' m better than average I guess. If you want any help or advice though since you' re just starting I' d be happy to help out.

I have been having trouble with shading.
Have trouble just in how to do it in general

Pssh, you know I couldn' t draw with the sling. You' re stuffed owned it during that phase. I' m out of the sling though now, thank God.

So Rampage, how would you suggest starting when you try to draw something like that?

Do you mean like what part I started drawing at? If so I started with the guy in the air. His head specifically. I' ll whip something up to you tomorrow, a quick step by step of a character like that.

3 papers that are close to 10 pages long
Doesnt sound too hard but when you start only 3 days before it is due it is hard haah

Sorry for taking forever but I' m finally scanning it in my computer. I' ll email it to you soon. It started out as a tutorial of facial structure and body form but ended up having a bunch of doodles. In reality, doing a bunch of doodles all the time is what will really make you good. The only time I draw is at school. I doodle on every assignment I get, every test I take, every page of notes I write. There is always some sort of drawing. You just have to make it flow.

I doodle but it' s always some sort of abstract design rather than a person or lifeform of some sort
