CoD3 is out in 2 weeks and i can' t wait! Then a week later we get Gears and then either on the same day or on the 24th we get Rainbow Six!!!!

Id like to know from the people getting CoD how much better it is than CoD 2, if its really a good improvement, itll go on my wishlist for christmas

I can tell you from the video that it looks night and day better than CoD2 (which looks superb as it is)...

...the textures are much improved, the lighting and shadowing, the animation, the character models and explosions and particle effects are all clearly improved. From the video it looks as good as BiA3.

I had been concerned after seeing sub-par screenshots but that' s no longer the case and this is a must buy. You can also now use vehicles in single and multiplayer so the online should be even more of a blast!

The 360 version of CoD2 was actually better than the PC version. Everything was identical apart from the resolution but the 360 version had better volumetric smoke. I think that i' d rather get the 360 version because of XBL, ...online is a big factor for me and XBL is my prefered service.

Thanks VX, I' ll download when I get home. The game does look amazing now. I was pretty put off when I heard that Infinity Ward wasn' t doing it, but that' s kind of cleared up now.

One of the last games I' m looking foward to in 06. As a huge COD2 fan I' ll be sure to give a full review.

Yes, first thing i noticed, or when a few AI enemies was present the game would jerk... while my PC was rock steady.


The wii version looks good, especially if they sort the controls to really make use of the wii mote.

EDIT: Hmm, looks absolutely identical to CoD2 to me! Maybe the grenade explosions look a tiny bit more detailed but...

I think you need to check your video again Choupolo, it looks much nicer than cod2.

Maybe the skies look a little nicer as well. I do remember the PC version of CoD2 looking pretty much like that though, especially in the snowy russian levels. Maybe my memory is poor I dunno.. well gameplay-wise what do you think?

Gameplay looks excellent on the 360 version, and as a side note, I' ve never noticed framerate drops with smoke grenades, but I' m a little worried about the Wii port. My thoughts:

-First of all, the guy playing the demo is terrible
-Aiming looks difficult if you' re not looking down the ironsights.
-There seems to be little or no teamwork, It seems more like once you move past a certain point, the gameplay/firefight progresses.

It' s a little distressing, but there it is.

Speaking of teamwork this one is going to be big in my clan, its about time a game gets us going again. Nice video VX.
