New Live Starter kits - Nov 03, 2003 18:55
I noticed we had the new Live Starter kits in our store yesterday. I' m sorry MS, but 70 bucks IS a bit pricy to be pushing onto the people. Then again, I can see the other side of the fence as well. Buy a XSN title and you get two free months of Live, after that it' s 50 bucks. So why would you even need to Starter kit? I think the 70 dollar price tag is a way of MS to get more people to XSN title for the two free months and then have them get Live through that deal instead of buying the kit.

What a scam - Nov 05, 2003 00:02
I let my sears mastercard expire months ago. This was the card linked to my Xbox Live account. My account is good through Christmas but because of the expired card they canceled my subscription. Which is fine because I wasnt too keen on the whole " keep an active credit card on file" or the " bill you current rate" b.s.

Lets face it, compared to BF1942' s 40 player online killfest, Xbox LIve seems...like childs play!

Actually, if you do buy an XSN sports game, then, you get 2 months, and then 49.99, but you have no headset? then you shell out another 29.99 for a headset, so that' s 50 + 30 = 80, so the starter kit is good, if you dont want an XSN title and you get mechassault if you dont own it....
