Well,not really but...

Today I was gonna play some BD,and the electricity went out in my house,and my 360 got 3 red rings then for 1 sec,then turned itself off.

Afterwards when the electricity were up again it been working fine for over 6 hours.

So what should I do?

What could have happend?

Were it permanent damage,or did the 360 get fooled to think something wernt wrong and just told me so,while I already know it was the power and not the consoles fault.

Man that should be hella scary! good for u i guess it' s fine now, no worries.

Ps! wrote about it,some people said that if you had orange color,which I did then it because of a lose cable.

I guess it was that then.

Since it happend when im on Disc2 I atleast got 13 hours of gameplay done.

And btw if something really bad happends I always have 5000 kr saved up to buy a new 360 just in case,been thinking of getting an elite,but not sure yet,probably will just send this one in then.

Anyway someone said if it were red ring youy wouldnt have been able to start it up 1 sec later and play 6 hours,+ you had orange color you got the famous cable not inserted consfused with malfunction which MS scare people with.

you know ms are ditching the red ring for no cables attached error as too many people are sending in their 360 thinking its broken.

If the Power cable is orange than its fine. If its green its got RRoD. As for your experience, its happened to me alot of times. It happened twice today. We' ve been having alot of thunderstorms today.

Its happened to me in thunderstorms as well, no problems since although I' m sure my Oblivion disk has not been the same since as occasionally it locks up when trying to load certain areas.

Why did they release BD in europe before US?

You' re nuts if you keep valuable gear plugged in during a thunderstorm. There' s never gonna be a surge protector that can defend against a lightning strike.

but its a good way of getting replacement new equipment on insurance.

It' s no big deal dude. Happened to me this week as well. I played Bioshock through the worst thunderstorm/tornado we' ve had in years. Power goes out, you get a quick red-ring (doesn' t mean it' s dead, that' s just the error it falls back on when it gets no power, dunno why) boot it up, no big deal.

Orange? How in blazes did you get orange? Those surface-mount diodes only display red & green. I shall go test.

Edit: Mmmmkay then, just went & unplugged the 360 and it seems like the orange is just the red LED getting less juice. Kinda hard to tell though.

Yeah,but I been playing now for a week without a problem.

And I did step on the powercable so the 360 couldnt start because the cable were off,so I know it was my own fault,but MS is retarded to scare people with 3 RR when a cable is not in.

Additive colour mixing of the right colour red and green will easily give you a yellow / orange colour, what your seeing is a shot burst of both the leds lit at ever so slightly different intensities = orange!
