Last night, my Wii would not let me into the Mii channel for some messed up reason. I would start it and the Wii would crash on a black screen. The only way to shut it off was to hold down the power button on the console itself. I tried this twice and both times it crashed.

Today I try it again and it seems to work fine, but now I have vertical black lines flickering onscreen in every channel:





Then I notice there is a Wii update available from Nintendo. I download and install it, and it did not get rid of the lines. Piss! So my Wii is going back to Nintendo for repair. They pay shipping. Fortunately I don' t use the console very much at all so I won' t be bothered in the least by the downtime. At least it will come back with a new 1 year warranty.

We all know that Xbox 360s are designed to fail and something is wrong with them if they don' t fail. I find it odd that my Wii has failed before my Xbox 360 and yet the Wii gets so much less usage. Some people say that the Wiiconnect 24 destroys the system due to overheating, but I' ve checked my Wii and it is room temperature when it is off and in this mode.

Didn' t you get the memo? Console failure is the latest trend. It' s so trendy that only the poorest sucker has all their consoles working. I' m glad to finally see Nintendo get their shit together and show MS who' s boss.

I had problems with mine also around a month ago. But nothing like that. Mine stopped loading Wii games (the drive just kept on speeding up and slowing down), but continued to load GC games. I just took it back to Game and they gave me a new console though. I was not asked to send it back to Nintendo.

Okay, so Joe' s console screwed up. His Wii is just mad because he spends more time playing the real versions of his Virtual Console games.

Ive heard of 3 wii problems. This, the disc drive failing, and something where it erases everything off any memory card you put in it. Do these problems happen often?

I don' t have ANY Virtual Console games. I' m not paying $8 for games I already have.

My friends Wii' s audio jack broke or something and he had to send his in and it took about 2 1/2 weeks, but I' ve read posts by people on forums that werent from america that said it took over 2 months
