Metroid Prime 2008?? WTF???

A while back I put in a pre-order for Metroid Prime with Bestbuy. Just got an email back from them letting me know that the new release date for Metroid Prime here in Canada is now 12/31/2007!!!!!
WTF???? This was going to be one of my first titles I get when I do buy a Wii, and now they are saying it won' t be out at all this year. Of course I am just a little pissed off, but usually with Nintendo if they do delay a game it is usually because the game is just not up to their standards.
I know, way to state the obvious.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else did a pre-order for Metroid Prime, and if you have received a similar email.

Nope, but I saw the news yesterday morning before I headed out.  I' m not getting one for a while. PS3 is probably going to be my next big gaming splurge. Heh heh... splurge.

I' m not getting a Wii until Metroid Prime 3 is released. Period. I just bought a PS2 with 50 games from a friend though so I have lots of cool games to play

Nintendo if they do delay a game it is usually because the game is just not up to their standards.
Its because their latest test has determined that the series will get better reviews if they cell-shade it (Zelda) or make it about a janitor (Mario Sunshine)

They' ve obviously delayed it to add online multiplayer. It' s the only logical reason.
