Mechwarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies - Not Dead!

The full announcement of the license, from the company' s website, is as follows: " Smith & Tinker is pleased to announce that it has licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights for Mr. Weisman' s previous creations of MechWarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies and the other properties of the FASA catalog. We’re not quite ready to announce our plans for each property, but please be assured that our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds." The rest is here Mechwarrior 5! New Crimson Skies! OMG breathe... settle down... You have no idea how long I' ve been waiting for a change in the winds regarding this. Definitely good news. While it' s still early, now that FASA has thankfully gone to the grave we can see these great franchises actually be put to some use. I was tired of them sitting on the IP and not doing anything with it for so long.

Sounds awesome. I just hope that we can expect new video games and not some tabletop shit. Especially a new Crimson Skies game would be great, that franchise has got so much potential.

I think that Shadowrun is under-appreciated and also has lots of issues, but the concept was cool. If they could maybe fix some things wrong with it in updates. Yeah so the other two look good and I am glad they will do something with them as well.

To fix Shadowrun you need to fix the aiming and add 200% more content

I really enjoyed my SHadowrun games, as limited as they were. I still can' t believe they chose to go multiplayer only with such a wealth of storyline options though. I really want to see a Werewolf: The Apocalypse themed action/rpg. Fat chance by the look of things though.
