Both videos were taken by a hiddn cam and can get blurry but they are decent enough quality that you can still appreciate the graphics.

.... if both those games were launch titles, 360 would have done MUCH better in Japan.....

.... Blue Dragon looks like what you' d get if they remade Final Fantasy 7.....

Looked wonderfull. However, I wasn' t that amazed by Blue Dragon, the design was so simple so from a technical standpoint, it cannot be difficult to create those environments. The graphics were smooth and the design was beautiful but it didn' t have many on-screen effects at the same time nor could we see the texture quality and such. Characters didn' t impress at all from a technical standpoint(except the robot). The water was quite amazing though!
Lost Odyssey looks more promising, but it was a strange trailer so it was hard to say what it looks like. Some of what you could see was concept art.
I' ll say the same as others said about the PS3 videos:
" That was the game-enigne running but it wasn' t the in-game graphics" , " graphics always looks better in the movie sequences than when you play" and " I' ll believe it when I see a playable demo" .
But even though that didn' t impress me that much I still think the difference in graphics between the Xbox360 and the PS3 will be pretty small. Or at least, small enough to have the gameplay experience at the same level, and that' s what counts, right?

Blue dragon is supposed to be a cartoonish game.
It look freaking amazing,so is Lost Odyssey and the game i wait most for,in fact its the game i wait the most for right now.

Nice find Rampage, I' ve been looking forward to any info on these 2 games, especially lost odysse. Talk about being able to see past influences!!! That game could very well be next gen final fantasy if they just change the name. Gameplay wise it may be different, but it sure has the right look. Blue Dragon looks like it could have been made by PIXAR. Not necesarily a bad thing, but it definetly has a toy story look to it.

Quite nice. Lost Odyssey looks promising but only some of it was new footage. Most of it was recycled from the 2005 E3 unveiling. But I' m sure it' s going to rock as we get more information on it.

Blue Dragon looks like a refreshing change. It' s not striving for photorealism - it has it' s own charms and its own unique animation style. I' m sure it' ll be a spectacular game when it comes out too.

Both look as a good way to try out the japaneese RPG genre, blue dragon, somehow reminded me of Heart of Darkness, dont know why.

Both look equally great, just different stiles, cant wait to see both games in a HD trailer.

FFcreator sakaguchi who wrote story event backround ideas etc etc to his FF games,and Nobuo who done the music in every FF game+ chrono trigger+Akira who done the art in dragon ballz and dragon quest 8 is doing Blue dragon.

Basically its the trio behind chrono trigger too.
ANd for me it look like a CT 2006.
But yes Sakaguchi and Nobuo is doing Lost odyssey too,Nobuo is the best composer in the world,sakaguchi is the best producer/story writer/game ideas person in the world.
Yes he mostly hired the right people and came up with backround storys and elemnt in the late ffs and accept changed ideas,but in ff1-ff5 he programmed and wrote event and story.
And now FF4 is btw released to GBA check it out.
He is a genious.
When he left his FF work in the hands of his pupils and people like in FF8,and FF10 we saw what happend.
For me those are the worse FF games ever made.
even though they are ofc great games,and now kitae and touiryama or wtf his name is ,is destorying the FF titles...

the combat system in FF12 doesn' t sound/look appealing at all... may be i just want the old school way

How does it differ from the others? i hated combat in FF, too boring!

in final fantasy 12 it' s more like MMORPG and there are some other changes as well , but one good news for sure is you can finaly see the enemies...

RPG combat systems arn' t often so good..you play it for the story/characters.
But in Tales of its great.

Best combat that I' ve encountered in an RPG is Fable. Gotta love real time combat (and sniping enemies from a distance, before they even know you' re there!) I don' t really mind turn-based combat, though. I really enjoy FFX.

Fable is great action,however Tales of is much better...

I like the combat in KOTOR, and to a certain extent in Jade Empire.
