Lik-Sang Shuts Down!

Article from GamesAsylum Lik-Sang.com shuts up shop Well-known Hong Kong import site Lik-Sang.com has announced that it is going out of business. The reason cited is recent action from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, which resulted in Lik-Sang.com' s selling of PSPs to the European market being judged unlawful. SCEE also declared that they would do all they could to stop PlayStation 3 importing. This is undoubtedly a huge knock to the wonderfully international online videogame retail industry, and a great shame in the specific case of Lik-Sang.com. But stepping back from the David vs Goliath element and general SCE hate, we have to wonder whether there is more to this than just Sony' s action. No longer Lik-Sang.com Marketing Manager Pascal Clarysse rightly points out that " next week could already be the stage for complaints from Sony America about the same thing, or from other console manufacturers about other consoles to other regions, or even from any publisher about any specific software title to any country they don' t see fit." But pre-emptively shutting up shop is a very big move to take on the back of losing the legal right to sell certain products and a number of ' what if' s. Indeed, Sony have denied that their actions have caused the closure. We have asked Lik-Sang.com for comment. Linky: http://www.gamesasylum.com/showarticle.php?articleID=5251 Well, all I can' t say is fuck Sony on this one. They' ve gone too far this time. Although not that it matters now, as the industry doesn' t care about hardcore games or people who really care about gaming anymore. SORRY, this thread was being created as another was just being posted. You might as well delete this as it' s completely redundant. (feels so stupid)
