I reccomend getting a 360 with or without a HD tv, its better with a good HD CRT but on standard your still getting your moneys worth. Games like COD3 and Huxley are just not possible on Xbox or PS2.

As for Live, you need it! Its far more valuable then HD. If the actual 360 is the blood and guts the screen is the face, then Live would be the soul of the white knight. If I ever met someone who owns a 360 but doesn' t have Live I' d have to slap them. Its completely asinine to buy a 360 without Live.

My advice would be to buy the camera periferal that just came out that comes with a year subscription to Live along with a few other goodies. They sell it for about the same price as a year subscription to Live so its like your' re getting the camera for free. The digimask technology they have with the camera has me excited.

Yeah, I know, I' ve seen most of my friends claim theirs, but I was never offered Gold. best I could get was silver. It' s probably some small problem, I' ve never heard it happening to anyone else, so don' t let me sway you from picking up a 360. Maybe I' ll touch base with Microsoft, see if I can mooch a little before I actually drop the $50 or so for live.
