LOTR: THE THIRD AGE FELLOWSHIP-BOUND Co-op mode for EA' s imminent RPG revealed
12:51 EA' s Lord of the Rings console role-playing game The Third Age will ship with co-op play included, it' s been revealed.
According to reports coming out of the US, in the game two players will be able to team-up to adventure in tandem.
Players can switch from single-player to two-player mode - and vice versa - via the options menu, all with the storyline remaining intact.
Reports on the co-op feature state that characters Morwen, Barethor and Elegost will be controlled by player one in co-op mode, while player two will take command of Hadhod, Ioden and Idrial.
LoTR: The Third Age is described as an " epic quest, in which players will take on the roles of new characters choosing their own path through Middle-earth while interacting with the heroes and villains of the trilogy" .
It' s based of course on Peter Jackson' s Oscar-winning film adaptation of Tolkien' s epic novel and features many well-known, as well as some of the more obscure, Lord of the Rings locations.
The Third Age is in development for PS2, Xbox, GameCube and GBA and releases on all four formats in November.
