NG2 fans shouldn' t worry though, as i reckon DOACC could be just as hardcore and in ya face as NG, except you' ll be playing as either Kasumi or Ayane.... ...actually, there is a chance Hayate may playable too considering he' s Kasumi' s brother..

...well yeah, but it' s Itagaki soo there' ll be large amounts of gratuitous violence in there too.... ...more a Action-RPG, although seeing as it' s been years since this title was first announced, it could be quite an unusual IP overall.... ...plus, there' s a small possibility that it' s not DOACC at all, but that Wii game he' s been talking about making recently...

It' d have to include the DoA name though because he said... The title of the game aside, it is like no other type of game I have ever made I still want to know more about Project Progressive.

ORIGINAL: f3hunter Obviously gonna be a Wii or DS title. They do have a DS title in development already, we' ve known that for months. It just hasn' t been formally announced, named, shown etc. It' s being developed by Team Kunoichi who handled the DoAX games, DoA:U and are also doing Code Cronus. Project Impact (Ninja Gaiden 2), Code Cronus and Project Progressive will be 360 games, all of which could be released on PS3 too. Project Impact is being developed by Team Kunai, the same guys who have did; DoA, DoA2, DoA3, DoA4, Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is being handled by the newly (well, last year) formed Team Sigma and my guess is that it' s Sigma that will handle any ports from 360 to PS3 as well as any PS3-only games. Little or nothing is known about Project Progessive. I' d wager that i still revolve around the DoA universe though. They even have a PSP game in development but nothing is known about that either.

1UP: The final Team NINJA project in the works is something called " Project Progressive." Can you tell us anything about it yet? TI: It' s an action game. 1UP: Why did you decide to work on a new action series when you' ve already got the Ninja Gaiden series to work with? TI: Even in the realm of action games, you have other types of action games than what we' re doing with Ninja Gaiden. You might have a shooting-based action game, or other action games with different viewpoints or worlds that they take place in. We wanted to use the know-how that we gained in making the Ninja Gaiden series, and apply that to something that had a completely different worldview. The reason I gave the name " Project Progressive" to this project is because the staff that are working on it are young and full of energy. 1UP: So it' s not the Dead or Alive, or Ninja Gaiden team working on it. TI: It' s the Third Fleet. 1UP: So it' s a whole new extension of Team NINJA? TI: Basically we' re giving them for free the knowledge and technology that was accumulated through working on Ninja Gaiden. I' m teaching them everything from how to do their jobs, how to think, how to analyze a situation, all the way down to how to drink. 1UP: How about how to gamble? TI: They' re not too good at gambling yet. As a result of this work, the current action engine that powers Project Progressive has even more freedom than the one for Ninja Gaiden. But once work officially begins on Ninja Gaiden 2, it will supercede Progressive. 1UP: So will the game ultimately use the Ninja Gaiden 2 engine? TI: Of course the technology and knowledge that was gained making Ninja Gaiden 2 will be fed back and applied to Project Progressive. 1UP: Since they' re young, will you become more involved, since it carries the Team NINJA brand I' m sure you' re going to want everything to come out right. TI: I' m always going to be present on one of those three fleets. So if I' m not there, they' ll continue sailing on with what they need to do. It' s best to let the young guys, to a certain extent, do what they want to do. As I mentioned before, just like when the original Ninja Gaiden wrapped up, at any time I can step in and wipe their asses for them. So it' s important that they' re able to do things by themselves. ...bear in mind that this interview is over a year old though...
