It' s a concept.
The thing is, since the case shown last year was a self confessed concept itself, the final thing could look like anything.
Would you buy that?

MMmmm it' s Sony, as a sony hater (well not quite) Sony' s playstation is last on my lists of purchases, i dont really care what it looks like, i dont want it to be hidious though.
Im sitting here hoping Sony will fail this time.

Well you' re certainly not alone. Y' know, no company has remained on top for more than 2 generations... What i hope happens is that Nintendo completely ruin Sony for screwing them over with the Playstation. This is what we were SUPPOSED to get...  The Nintendo Playstation!

That would have been more fun than the Sony playstation.
Sony most likely wont fail utterly this time around, but they could make an fatal error and die with the next console, well they will if they think they can keep it on a 10 year cycle instead of 5!

Put it this way. Microsoft will come out of this generation with a much bigger share of the market that they had with the oriiginal Xbox and they will most likely launch another console in 5 years time.
It' s not like they' re bothered about losing money either. Having a console isn' t for them just about making profits, it' s about stopping Sony from becoming as big as them and launching their own software.

Yeah, but i' m not sure if it was a serious comment or whether they just want consumers to think that PS3 will be so powerful that it will be able to compete against anything that could come up in the nect decade.
