Help!
-
Oct 01, 2006 02:16
Ok, i have a slight problem and need some feedback from as many of you as possible. Go HERE and see if the page displays properly in your browser. If possible, take a screen grab and post it here so i can see exactly what you' re seeing. I have it displaying properly in several versions of IE, in Opera and in Safari. Firefox and some versions of IE seem to be the problem. Thanks, Majik

Seems OK in the browser I' m using at work (IE)... :) If it' s your page I can give you some constructive feedback tough, the background-colour, black is very bad, in my opininon. :( I' ve llways found it annoying for the eyes, if you' re reading much on it, even if it' s in the side, instead of where you focus your eyes on the text. It also makes the dust on dirty monitors show, and that' s also annoying... Otherwise it' s looks like a good blog. :)

Is it just me or does Majik write more and upload better news/stuff then most of every gamingsite? Lol. Majik you should ask IGN or Gamespot if you could write for their UK sections.

Looks fine to me. I have IE 6.0 I' m not sure but I think there are some spelling mistakes: Mark Rein has today addressed the growing concern that Gears if War may be too easy. Gears if War? How do you create a difinitive version of what was already the difinitive version of a modern classic?! Isn' t it spelled definitive? Hurricane packs included on the disc only exhanced the experience even I can' t find exhanced in my dictionary? What does it mean? Or is it some kind of Xbox joke? but one dpecific worth noting is that the game will be completely devoid of CG cutscenes. Specific perhaps? If it doesn' t, and there' s no real reason why it shouldn' t, then Microsoft will face some understandable critism, I think I' ve only seen the word " criticism" .

But thanks for pointing those out. One or two are even mine! So you guys are seeing everything properly, including the banner?

ORIGINAL: Rampage99 I don' t see a banner. Firefox doesn' t like it, but it does display in IE, Opera and Safari (what i' m using right now), or at least it should! It' s a black, grey and pink banner. It' s hard to describe without using the word " stars" ... Can everybody else see it?

So i was right in thinking that it doesn' t display correctly in Firefox. It should look like this... ... Can anybody offer a solution, other than find a new template that works with all browsers?!

ORIGINAL: GrayFox Heres what i see: And yes i use Firefox and see the banner. Its fixed now! Great. It must be how you have Firefox set up though as even on my PC when using Firefox i can' t see the banner. Thanks for letting me know though, we' re slowly narrowing the problem down. As for the site itself, i' m not sure whether the problem is the template or how we have to posts configured with regard to formatting so there won' t be any updates for a couple of days while we try and figure it out. The next article will be fairly extensive and will be about Rainbow Six: Vegas, hopefully i can get everything sorted before the games release next month...
