Upgrading is kinda nubish. Most of the time to make a worthy upgrade you have to upgrade nearly every part. The only times it really makes sense is when you buy a new computer that has a shit video card or not enough memory, which would make you a nub to begin with.

I had some cameras i could sell to my job, some network security stuff. The cash will only give me a decent CPU or a decent MB and not both. In anycase my pc is running TF2 fluently so i wont really need much more..

What memory do you have on the board? if you change your board you might find that there are compatibility issues with your memory.

Not really, I can still use my mobo with new CPUs coming out and I bought it over a year ago with one of the highest end CPUs.
