Well lets factor in a few things shall we?
-Still in development
-Not on a High-End PC
-Already starting to look better then most console games out there
-A PC port that is actually the whole game and not cut down in certain areas

Now if you dont have an amazing PC you dont get to dwell in the great PC gaming world. Sooo when a game like Half-Life 2 is announced or even Doom3 you have many reasons to get excited, because now you get to have a glimpse into that PC world.

I wouldn' t say I have a high end PC and I was able to play Half-Life 2 just fine. It was pretty and it came for free with my video card, even.

I' m looking forward to the release of HL2 on XBox -- I think it' s going to be awesome (as I' m a big fan of the game anyways).

I' d like to play this on a big screen TV, sitting comfortably on the sofa, no Steam, no fuss. However, this doesn' t look as " essential" a purchase as Doom 3, given that unlike Doom 3, HL2 can be enjoyed on relatively low-end systems. I already have the pc version, but I' ll consider getting the xbox version if it' s comparable. And yes, the AI definitely needs some tweaking (only chink in HL2' s armour as far as I' m concerned).
