Guild Wars was last year (well two years ago since we are in 2007). And World of Warcraft is a much better game :P But to each his own. Unless you were talking about either of the expansions...then it would make sense.

I don' t know how you can consider such mediocre games such as Resistance as GAME OF THE FXING YEAR. Game of the Year is one game, the best game of the year. Not a C game, not a B game, not even an A game. Its an A++++++ best game of the fxing year.
Since oblivion was 2006 game GoTY would have to go to Gears of War. Wii GoTY is obviously Zelda but you can' t give a game so far behind in certain areas (like graphics, AI, physics) a game of the year award. Yes it is a good game but not GoTY material. That goes for your handheld games too. GoTY is a serious award and is given to a serious game.

I havent played Zelda but i belive there are much more important things in a videogame than graphics and physics, for instance i belive GoW its not half the game MGS3 Subsistance and Okami are, i guess it all comes down to what do u whant from a game.

Gears of War Great game, i havent finished it yet since my 360 died, and i havent gotten it back yet, but im looking forward to finishing it.

Oblivion nice game, lots of exploration, i would have liked some more depths in the story, Bethesda could learn things from Bioware (yes Gangsta Bioware are perfect)

yeah you are right, the combat in the game sucks big time, and shouldnt have been in unless it had been better. But the story and mood in the game is super. But if you dont like cliffhangers, dont get it

Dreamfall was a great game,but it' s more like a interactive movie/story then a " game" .

I' d almost feel bad for you considering those are the best games you' ve played, but it is obvious you are a sony fanboy and limit yourself to that garbage. It is your own fault.

Yes it is behind in terms of Graphics, physics are ok, not a major issue at all in my eyes and the AI is satisfactory. Zelda is still an excellant game. It is a mammoth adventure game lasting around 50 hours that is full of memorable moments throughtout! The story is far better than previous Zelda' s and the gameplay is spot on!

Gears of War is not without its faults. The single player only lasts a pathetic 9 to 10 hours (yes I know it has excellant online play but 9 to 10 hours is pretty poor). I have to say that I still think its an excellant game just so I dont get attacked by all the 360 worshippers here.

Anyway as the saying goes ' Whatever floats your boat' , everbody is going to have a different opinion of what they think game of the year is. But to say that Zelda can not be considered for game of the year just because its graphics are not the same quality as 360 or PS3 games is bullshit.

Kingdom Hearts 2

Laugh all you want, but I have always been a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts games. The feeling that you are actually getting to meet and fight alongside an array of well-known Disney characters makes it all the more worthwhile. Not to mention the fact that the Kingdom Hearts series is blatantly Square Enixs answer to the next game series I am about to mention...

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Another series I have seen little fault in. Or should I say THE series? Zelda is undoubtably my favourite game series of all time, and Twilight Princess certainly doesn' t change that. Whether you' re running around on all fours in wolf form, or sumo wrestling Gorons, many can' t deny that this game is fantastic(and mean it, anyway).
