Rockstar have annouced that the first console to have the next GTA will be the Xbox 360. Microsoft have used there bank balance to persuade Rockstar to make this move.

This could be a vital move for Microsoft and a great loss for Sony. Sony just don' t have the financial backing that Microsoft do so not much they can do about it.

Nice to see the power swaying away from Sony a bit, makes the console wars more competitive.

Yeah, I care - it' s a good thing for GTA fans, but is it a good thing for PS fans? This is one of those things that could sway users from one system to another, so who knows?

It probably worth mentioning that the only reason 360 is getting it first is because PS3 isn' t coming out until November.

Thank God for that. Makes the Wii even better. It' s kind of fun actually, the Wii is the console that might' ve made GTA new again but instead we' ll probably see the same thing all over again on the PS3/360. But with the usual upgrades and worthless gameplay enhancements.

True, but not all people are as clear minded as you. Many will just think " ooh, GTA goes next gen, better looking mindless violence and more ways to kick people in the head until they die. Not on the Wii, though, better get one of the other two." It is a sad fact that this is todays society.

Not that it' s anything wrong with mindless violence but it' s just that the GTA series never evolves. The jump from 2D to 3D was cool but the gameplay was pretty much the same.
Can' t they make like... GTA: Star Wars where you get to play Han Solo before he met Luke and you' ll make missions for Jabba and steal spaceships and kill aliens and that stuff. Would be cool.

I' d like to see GTA in the wild west, where you could be an outlaw, a bounty hunter, or a sheriff (or whatever else you want). Hell, you could still have sex with prostitutes and kill people in the streets, but at least it would be a more interesting setting. Of course, then it wouldn' t be " Grand Theft Auto" . It would be Grand Theft Horse and Carriage. GTHC BIATCH!!

I can see potential for a " Super Grand Theft Mario" .
