They' re making a sequel to Halo? Why? It wasn' t very popular. Even Abe' s Oddworld Oddysee was more popular.

Name any one of those FF titles that had HALF the hype of Halo 2.

It has to be one of the most popular games for the xbox. Ive played it and i must say that i cant wait to get Halo 2, thus the only reason to get an Xbox.

Yes, the hype is much...
If Halo 2 was even to be a re-hash of the original Halo, it will be so much more awesome (in my opinion) than most of the other games out there now - or for some time to come...
How many versions of Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Sonic, Mario, etc., etc. have there been?
These series lasted so long, because they were popular (pay attention to this ' key point' here)...
The ' Halo' series is popular, thus it receives the hype expected for such a popular game franchise!!!

DaRoosh: The reason those big-name franchises have lasted (FF, Sonic, Mario) is because they rehashed just about NOTHING. They kept a standard formula intact to retain fans, but each game was fresh and new, rebuilt from the ground up. There were a few Sonic games that may have slipped into " rehash obscurity," but most of Mario and all of the FF series tend to reinvent right down to the core of the gameplay each and every time.
Halo 2 is an FPS, so you can' t really change too much, but it had BETTER be a vast improvement. It' s three years later, it' s been hyped like no other game in the history of the industry, and the claims are ridiculous. So at the very least, it had better be the best FPS a console has ever seen.

I have yet to get tired of hearing about Halo 2... Oooooooh! I said that name! GOOD!!! It' s gonna be an awesome game to play, and [almost] everyone will be talking about it for some time to come! As for me...I' m just gonna enjoy playin' my copy...
