Favorite Fighting Series

What is your favorite fighting series (i.e. Street fighter, Tekken, Soul Caliber, Virtua Fighter, etc.) I think I' m a fan of all of them. Tekken 3 was great - Tekken 4 was ok but I was a little dissappointed Soul Caliber (for DC) was really great - SC2 was more of an update on SC1 Street fighter is classic and will always be a favorite Never played any of the VF

I' ve played all new fighting games and I have to say Virtua Figher 4 still rules them all. I also have a space reserved for all quality 2d fighters as I love to fight old school style. I still have a special place in my heart for Tekken but I' ve been a little disappointed with the last 2 games so...VF4 for me until Tekken improves.

In the 2D realm, my favorite fighting series is the FATAL FURY series. However my favorite 2D fighting game of all time is SUPER STREET FIGHTER II: Turbo. In the 3D realm my favorite series is the Virtua Fighter series. I prefer them in this order: Virtua Fighter 3 (Team battle included) Virtua Fighter Virtua Fighter 4 (Evolution included) Virtua Fighter 2

The fighting genre is just about my least favorite (next to MMORPG, flight sims, and RTS), but I absolutely adored Soul Calibur, and that' s still my all-time favorite fighting game, with Street Fighter II: Turbo a close second. I also really like the DoA series, just because I think they' re fun. I' m not good with fighting games, so while I recognize that VF is a higher-quality franchise, I can really only have fun with DoA.

I' ve never been too into fighting games, never even played virtua fighter or tekken, probably a sin I know. But lesse...fighting games I definetly have enjoyed include: street fighter games, bushido blade, killer instinct, and samurai showdown series. I' ve thought many times on picking up VF4:EVO it being only 20 dollars...it receives a lot of praise. I' m also keeping my eye on the release of the street fighter anniversary collection, which is also supposed to be bundled with 3rd strike, which is supposed to be good. So in conclusion I would have to say I have no idea what my favorite fighting series is

Virtua Fighter series is my favourite. DOA series has to be the worst in my opinion. Just like to say my favourite beat-em-up series is Streets of Rage and i want a sequel.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution is a great game. It' s not for button mashers that is for sure. Huge move lists, with a cool mode that lets you play for rankings and new apparel keeps you playing. The moves are authentic, and you don' t see many that couldn' t be done in real life. I just love the system, and how the combos are. The game only has 3 buttons but it is one of the deepest fighters out there. The game I dislike the most is DOA series because I think they try to focus on other stuff more than the actual fights. Plus I really despise Itagaki for being Itagaki, so that really doesn' t help either.

Aww, actually I love the Dead or Alive series. I know it sounds weird but I LOVE the Virtua Fighter series because it takes itself seriously and I LOVE the Dead or Alive series because it Does Not take itself too seriously. Basically it offers a nice change of pace.

Virtua fighter series for sure. Virtua fighter 4: evolution being the best. Ive been playing virtua fighter since i was 8, its the most memorable series. Evolution has the best replay value out of any fighter, its challenging and really long. Takes a lot of skill to beat it. And for only 20$, I say its a must have! Dead or alive is a pretty good series. It has good multiplayer, but short and easy single player. The graphics are the best compared to any other fightnig game, period. Tekken is probally the worst series, mainly because Ive played this series the least, and when I did play it, I didn' t really enjoy it.

hmmm.... tough call. I have a weak spot for Tekken. Street Fighter, while being good and pioneering the genre, was never really a favorite of mine. Overall, I would say my favorite would be the Soul Calibur Series, simply because it has good customization and doesn' t involve lots of button combos.

Id have to go with the Dead or Alive series Dead or Alive 3 to be the best. Soul calibur and soul calibur 2 close second. I used to be all into tekken untill i played tekken 4 which was the worst of them all. Tekken tag tournament and tekken 3 were the best tekken games. As for Virtua Fighter its pure crap.I bought VF3tb for the DC and played it for 2 minutes and never touched it again.

My favorite series would have to be Guilty Gear. Very fast, quite deep, and excellent style. Apart from that, I' d have to say either Virtua Fighter or King of Fighters.

The new Virtua Fighters are a bit different from the old ones, and are most definately NOT crap. I seem to remember a lot of people hated that DC game, but these new ones are generally well liked by all.

To tell you the truth I find the newer Virtua Fighter games to be more flashier and " dumbed down" compared to previous versions. Until Virtua Fighter 5 comes out, I guess Virtua Fighter 3 will always be my favorite followed by the original.

Its hard to say what is my favourite series. KOF series will always be close to my heart. Same with Samurai Showdown and Last Blade. Only Tekken I liked was 3. I never like VF series, but VF4 is brilliant. SC2 is a very fun game, but not as deep and complex as some people claim it to be. SVC CHAOS is my current addiction. Fav underated fighter would be Fighters Destiny for N64. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is still the best fighting game ever.

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is still the best fighting game ever. In the realm of 2D fighters, HELL YEAH!! I love everything about that game.. From the cinematic Ryu intro, the music, and the gameplay. To me it' s the most challenging Capcom fighter ever made.

In 3D Virtua Figher Series.. Although Virtua Fighter 3 I found was the worst, Virtua Fighter 4 was Amazing! I cant wait to play Virtua Fighter Quest it looks nothing like VF and more like Streets of Rage on LSD but none the less it looks like a great game! Soul Calibur its just great.. -------------- In 2D Guilty Gear Series & Night Worriers
