Oblivion with guns.

The graphics are cool but ill have to check gameplay first before i can decide on this one since i didnt like Oblivion' s gameplay or any western RPG for that matter.

Y' know, I thought that at first, but looking at it now, they' re really not a whole lot to write home about.

I mean, sure, they look good, but nowhere near as stunning as it was made out to be, but maybe I' m just being overcritical.

no you' re right Eddie, it' s nice and that' s all there is, i don' t think we gonna be REALLY impressed anymore this gen, may be god of war 3' s developers will kick ass again and they probably will. with today technology, even the average developer can make a game look nice.

Isn' t this just using Oblivion' s engine just with upgrades? I was reading an interesting independent preview for this. It seems Bethesda are doing their own take on Fallout (ie translating it into their style of game) which has kinda diluted a lot of the small things that made Fallout what it was.

eg monsters are all going to be bad, whereas in the original game there were some not so bad monsters. There was more of a moral grey area, whereas now its just gonna be black and white to make things more simple.

I think Oblivion fans are being catered for more here than Fallout fans.

Yeah on my PC with everything maxed out. Those screen shots look about the same as that, just alittle more detailed. Can' t really get too much out of them because they' re so low resolution though.

As far as middleware goes, the Gamebryo engine has never impressed me that much. It' s always seemed a little cumbersome and bloated for what it puts out.

Yeah its going to be little more than Oblivion with guns, which sucks for people who actually played Fallout!

What i dont get is, why buy an expensive IP, that has only a small following, but the fans are extremely critical and are actually your least likely audience, instead of just making a game called Oblivion with Gunz!

I doubt it! the guys at Troika (which closed :( ) or Obisidian should have had the IP instead, even Bioware though they never really worked on fallout..

Unless you can complete the game without shooting, they fucked it up!

Everyshot you have seen of ghouls and mutants they have been bad, though they arent necesarily bad in the fallout lore. especially ghouls.

I dónt know, ill definetly get the game, no doubt about it, but it wont be fallout.

Yeah you are right. The graphics are just nice but nothing to be excited about. I said so because for some reason there are still some stupid devs that can somehow mess up the graphics.
