Has anyone else been playing this recently?

Since I got this game on import from the US I' ve found it damned hard to leave it alone for any length of time. My girlfriend has been getting really pissed off with me about how much I' ve been playing it, and that hasn' t happened since I can remember - maybe since Goldeneye even.

The weird thing is that I' m not entirely sure what it is that has got me so hooked. Maybe it' s because the gameplay is really tight and the difficulty level is a genuine challenge (more games should be this hard!) even for seasoned F-Zero veterans. Also, I find the speed of the thing to be quite hypnotic and I love the ' arcadey' feel to the game. I just have to keep coming back for another go.

It' s maybe a bit early to say whether this is the best F-Zero game yet - although it' s certainly the best since the original (IMO).

Anyone else?
