I' ll be skipping out on this launch, at least until mine dies.

I can' t imagine buying a Premium knowing there' s a model with HDMI out there. I just wish they' d stop shafting us and let us install our own HDDs. Y' know, the ones that don' t cost a buck-twenty a gig.

I dont even know why I wanna get one of these. Its such an unprovoked impulse.

I dont at all need the extra space (I have 10 live arcade games, various game downloads,3 episodes of southpark+plus the HD one,some trailers and a few themes, leaving me with 9 gigs.) If I start running low I have 2 options
1.Use the transfer kit to put some stuff on my PCs hard-drive
2.Delete stuff I rarly use (not like I have to pay for it again when I wanna re-download it)

I dont need the HDMI til I get a new TV (which may be some time).

The color is nothing to me since my 360 matches the entertainment center. Black would match also tho.

Has there been any word on the performance? Is it quieter, does it stay cooler, will games run somewhat better etc etc etc?

Hmm I think I just convinced myself to wait on this purchse now...we' ll see what MS does with my dead 360 upon its arrival. Whether they are gonna give me a new one or just repair it.

One that doesn' t involve me spending hours hex-editing and reformatting in DOS.
Not to mention, I don' t feel like hunting around for the incredibly specific Western Digital drive.

Don' t get me wrong though, I' ll be doing it eventually for sure.
