Wow, it' s a real Dragon Quest and not just a spin off. That' s great.
Hopefully this means the Wii can get some real games too in the future, instead of the regular spin offs.

To all DS owners,yes i understand that you are happy now,and that the game also has 4 player co-op which means its gonna be a lot of fun even when u finished it.

But...

These giant titles should stay on their plattform.
We want all want these epic titles to be just " epic" and huge,they wont on NDS,do anyone here want Halo3 on the new ZUNE?

Its about Square-enix announced for a time agoe how they dont want a plattform like ps2,to dominate with so huge numbers,forcing bvig dev like S-E to dev for any restriction or ideas sony has.

And now they took a blow againts ps3 when its lying down.

I already said that m gonna skip my wii,and go a ps3 instead.

Well, if that' s the case then the 360 would' ve been a better choice.
You know, then the series could' ve continued to evolve in a way the fans expected but now it has to adapt to the DS platform, sometihng many fans of the series probably didn' t expect.

Maybe it can be epic in the 2D/3D sense, like Valkyrie Profile or Xenogears.

This is strange news. I' d much rather play the game on a large screen and I think many other people would too.

Actually it' s about having the series on the dominating platform in Japan.

DQ is far more popular in Japan then elsewhere and Square have a habit of releasing the games on the most dominant platform in Japan at the time. That platform happens to be DS (if you discount PS2) and with the success of FF3 already they' d be stupid to release it on another platform.

The Enix part of Square Enix never seemed to care about console specs and always cared about userbase (according to an old interview). DS is just smoking in Japan so it makes sense that Enix would want to unleash the latest Dragon Quest game for it... I' d love for their to be some Wii action as well. Personally, I' m just happy it didn' t go the predictable path of PlayStation 3...
