Rumors are floating about Diablo 3 being shown at E3, mostly due to the fact that IGN has mentioned Diablo 3 in a promotional add for E3, here is the link.

Im looking forward to seeing things of diablo 3, i enjoyed the other two immensely. Ofcourse im just hoping for a Xbox release :P

I wonder what would Diablo 3 improve upon - Diablo 1 was awesome , original and simply amazing , Diablo 2 looked almost identical, but was displayed in 3d - it had fun gameplay , but wasn' t different enough for me to play it, now D3 is really something that needs some fresh vibe, new direction - something like what RE4 did for RE series.

Yeah diablo I think would be similar to halo in trying to improve the series terms but maybe 3 might be good seeing as they would have had some time to think up some good stuff.

Yeah , and it' s Blizzard so high expectations are justified

I hate it when it takes so long for sequels to arrive I mean by the time they do decide to bring them out they' re too outdated sometimes (not always) and the hype dies down immensely.

Dreamfall ' the longest yard' = something around 6 years
Mother 3 (earthbound)= 11 years
Wolfstein= 10 years
Jedi knight (not that I liked this one)= 4 years
Commander keen (were supposed to have a sequel)= now it' s been something like 15 years since.
Myst = something over 4 years for this one
Myst 3 exile = another four years from the last
Myst uru= 2 years from the last
Shenmue = coming up to 6 years since the last

The thing I don' t get is that some were really good before they decided to not make it anymore like earthbound.

I guess blizzard dont know if they have what it takes to make a worthy sequal at this moment...

I think Blizzard will be showing a " Wii" game at E3.

looks like blizzard is hiring people to work on Diablo 3. Well that' s the conclusion I' ve come to. They are hiring people that will be working on the team that made diablo and diablo 2 and you are supposed to have RPG experience. I suppose they could be making a diablo style starcraft or warcraft rpg. Or a totally new RPG, but it' s probably Diablo 3.

I really wish they would just make starcraft 2 though.... Or a diablo RTS that is like starcraft.... none of that RTS RPG blend WC3 stuff.

Personally, I' m a little cautious on D3' s art style. Warcraft III was kinda a shocker to me, since I played the past ones. I get that Blizzard wants to avoid entering uncanny valley, but I WAS looking forward to realistic visuals ala Starcraft.

But, I doubt Blizzard would make D3 that way. That' s simply wrong (Diablo' ll look a thorny blocky red Barney. He already kinda does in the cutscenes! [his in-game model rocks though]).

Xbox 360 just begs to have a port of a game like D3! Of course, everything' s speculation, but IF they manage to bag Blizzard (multi-platform compeition by PS3 not withstanding [doubt Wii would ever consider D3 =/]), that' s the kind of hard-hitting game that the 360 needs...
