Devil May Cry is one of the best games of this generation; easily in the top 10, IMO. DMC 2 wasn' t nearly as good, but it also wasn' t nearly as bad as some people would like to believe. I' m hoping DMC 3 goes back to the ingenious roots of the original.

I agree with you, part 2 wasn' t as bad as most people say. I just did a search on Google and I hit the jackpot, read these in the order I post ' em: [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc31[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc32[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc33[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc34[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc35[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc36[/image] [image]http://members.aol.com/peyton018manning/dmc37[/image]

Capn: Cool stuff, man. I' m 100% psyched now. Raven: You need to go out and get DMC RIGHT NOW. I wasn' t kidding when I said it was in the top 10 games of this generation, and while it' s always subjective, VERY few people would disagree with that statement. And if they did, they' d probably at least put it in the top 20. IMO, it' s the best action game of this generation, along with Ninja Gaiden (and don' t ask me to choose between the two, please).

Which one is better to go with? DMC 1 or 2? Better to start at the beginning or jump into the newer one?

Forget DMC 2. While not too bad, it' s really only average. DMC is a groundbreaking, revolutionary action title that, even after 3 years, is still one of the very best. It absolutely cannot be missed by any serious gamer. I know it' s a Greatest Hit, and has been for some time, so it won' t be expensive.

Yea I considered buying it when I first bought my PS2 and it was greatest hits then (I bought Grandia 2 instead at the time) I like the cheapness of greatest hits but I hate the stupid red " greatest hits" logo they put on it. I like my things to look nice but those logos ruin the cover (just me being picky haha )
